Lectionary Texts

LiturgyHelp provides the fully formatted, New American Bible Lectionary for the United States or Jerusalem Bible Lectionary for Australia. The Lectionary texts are available for every day and include all alternative readings for memorials and optional memorials. Simply select the date on the calendar to access the readings.

Lectionary texts are also listed according to their book of the Bible, allowing you to access readings independent of their liturgical setting. Alternatively you can search the Lectionary texts in our database by keyword.

The Lectionary texts for the Marriage and Funeral Rites are also available.

Using the Texts

The Lectionary, like most texts on the site, can be copied and pasted in most modern word processors. The text is available in a print friendly format and can be downloaded as rich text format documents ready to be used in a word processor.

United States subscribers also have access to a detailed proclamation guide which incudes a line by line commentary on reading style with emphasis and pausing.

Australian customers have access to bulletin masters which include the readings of the Sunday and a reflection in A3 and A4 formats. The A3 format includes a children's activity sheet with a ‘saint of the week’ icon.
